THE TERM "Qozhaya" "Qozhaya" is of Syriac origin and means "the treasure of Life". a) This "treasure" is CHRIST who represents for the monk the necessity to abandon worldly goods for a life dedicated to prayers and detachment. b) "Life" here is the abundance of water, which endows nature, a symbol of prosperity, with its majestic verdure.
